I paint each letter of the phrase ‘spread the word’ on individual postcards and add two blank postcards to represent the spaces between the words. These spaces are made of nothing, yet they are essential for making the text readable. I send the postcards to three familiar and twelve randomly chosen recipients, across ten different countries.
Work statement
My first mail art project ever, opening a space to express myself offline, in a tactile and material way. It allows me to spread ideas, distribute concepts, deliver art. To mess around with paint and glue.
Acrylic on paper, 2025 | set of 15 pieces.
